Milling Trade for Port Orford

We had the opportunity to work with Steve this spring milling some beautiful Port Orford Cedar out near the Oregon Coast just north of Florence. Our arborist friend Grits had come out to take down this clump of trees that were struggling and too close to the spot where the cabin needed to go. Don't worry, Steve has planted so many trees on his property that he is basically in a league of his own and has more than made up for the felling of this cedar.

So the plan for Sam and I was to go spend two days out near the coast milling up this cedar in exchange we got to keep some!
